Questions fréquentes

Quick answers.

Does it accept milliseconds?

Yes. Numbers ≥ 10¹² are treated as milliseconds; smaller numbers as seconds.

What timezone is shown?

Both UTC and your local browser timezone are displayed side by side, plus an ISO 8601 formatted string.

What's the Year 2038 problem?

32-bit signed integer timestamps overflow on 19 January 2038 03:14:07 UTC. Modern systems use 64-bit timestamps, which are safe for billions of years.

Why does my timestamp look weird?

Most likely you've got seconds/milliseconds mixed up. A 10-digit timestamp is seconds; 13 digits is milliseconds.

Is the converter free?

Yes — fully free, no signup, runs in your browser.
