常见问题
Quick answers.
›What is the difference between Peak and EBU R128 normalisation?
Peak normalisation scales audio based on the loudest single point, while EBU R128 measures perceived loudness over time. R128 provides a much more consistent listening experience across different tracks.
›Does this tool compress my audio quality?
The tool adjusts the gain and dynamic range to meet the target loudness, but it does not apply lossy bit-rate compression. The output quality remains as high as the source material provided.
›Are my audio files uploaded to your servers?
No. The normalisation process is powered by WebAssembly and runs entirely within your browser sessions. Your files stay on your local machine.
›What target loudness should I use?
-14 LUFS is the common standard for streaming platforms like Spotify and YouTube. For European broadcast, the standard is typically -23 LUFS.
